Painted MDF-furniture door:
Material: MDF-board (Medium Density Fibreboard) is tight and hard fiberboard made out of homogeneous wood fiber with the help of glue, pressure and temperature. In our products we only use MDF-boards which meet the E1 -norms.
Country of origin of MDF-board: Germany and Poland
Finish: Catalyst based 2-component paint.
Doors are milled by CNC-machines after which they are painted on the painting line going round the line 5 times. The front side of each door gets at least 2 layers of primer and 1 layer of finishing paint in the color wanted. The back side of each door gets at least 1 layer of primer and 1 layer of finishing paint in the color wanted. High-gloss acrylic lacquered doors get a layer of clear lacquer on top of the other layers on the front side of the door.
All of our standard colors can be found from Tikkurila Monicolor and Symphony color charts. Equivalents to Kensa's own colors ( grey 754096H, cream 754290L, white 9011) can be obtained from Tikkurila's helpline.
Premium foiled MDF-furniture door:
Material: MDF-board (Medium Density Fibreboard) is tight and hard fiberboard made out of homogenous wood fiber with the help of glue, pressure and temperature. In our products we only use MDF-boards which meet the E1-norms.
Country of origin of MDF-board: Germany and Poland. Back side is white melamin.
Finish: PVC-Premium foil. Thickness of foils 0,4 - 0,6 mm. Country of origin of Premium foils: Germany and Japan.
Premium foils have UV-protection and a protective lacquer which prevents scratches.
Once the wanted profile is milled on the MDF-board, it is sprayed with glue and the foil is attached on the profile with the help of high temperature and pressure. Thanks to Vacum Membrane pressing method the doors' durability and heat resistance are maximised.
Heat resistance of Premium foiled doors:
Kensa's Premium foiled doors meet the quality demands set by SFS-, and EN-standards as well as DIN-norms.
Heat resistance of Premium foiled doors is from -40 º C to +80 º C. Momentary heat resistance is over +100 º C.
It is recommended that the temperature of the oven is checked on the outside of frame when the oven is installed. If the temperature rises over the recommended limits, heat protection lists should be used. (EN-standard 60335-2-6: highest permitted temperature of metallic frame is 85 ºC when temperature in the oven is 200 º C for one hour).
