Material: MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) is made from homogeneous wood fibres and glue, bonded under heat and pressure. Kensapuu uses board that meets the E1 standard.
Our MDF comes from Germany and Poland.
Finish: Catalyst based 2-component paint.
Kensapuu has a modern, purpose-built painting line for doors. The required layers of paint are sprayed mechanically in a dust-free environment. The machine collects all the surplus paint, which is then recycled, so environmental friendliness is also taken into consideration in the process.
The MDF board used for painted doors has been manufactured to meet Kensapuu's needs.
Kensapuu's furniture doors receive several treatments on the painting line. First, the surface of each door is sanded and dust is removed, then it is sprayed with paint and dried. The doors go through the painting line at least five times. One layer of primer and one layer of finishing paint are sprayed on the reverse side, and the front side is painted with at least two layers of primer and one layer of finishing paint depending on the door model.
The range of colours for painted furniture doors is comprehensive. You can either choose a colour from among Kensapuu's 16 standard colours or any colour of your choice. Full-matt colours in all shades are available for all door models. High-gloss doors receive a layer of acrylic lacquer on top of the other layers. The lacquer provides gloss of more than 90 degrees as well as a harder surface for the doors.
The standard colours can be found on the Tikkurila Monicolor and Symphony colour charts. Equivalents to Kensapuu's own colours (white 9011, grey 754096H, cream 754290L) can be obtained from Tikkurila's painting line.
All painted door models are available in full-matt and high-gloss.
All our door models can be also made to customers' specifications.
